Nick Tozcek und Thies Marsen sind sich bisher nur einmal begegnet. Das Album entstand in Covid-adäquater sozialer Distanz über eine Entfernung von 1300 Kilometern. Death & Other Destinations ist also inhaltlich und produktionstechnisch der Soundtrack zur Corona-Zeit.
